Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are selling their Sicilian home for a cool £5,800,000. The expansive villa, in Stromboli off the north coast of Sicily, boasts breathtaking surroundings and interiors steeped in fashion history.
The villa has hosted an array of international stars and memorable parties galore over the years. Also, in 2014, the fashion house shot a perfume advert nearby on the island. The holiday home’s design combines three typical Aeolian architectural styles, and follows the shapes of the waves and the jagged coast of volcanic rocks. It is surrounded by lavish terraces and lush gardens filled with Mediterranean plants, allowing you to live in direct contact with the natural elements of the island.
The villa is on Stromboli, an island in the Aeolian archipelago in Sicily, and the house enjoys sweeping views of the Mediterranean, only interrupted by the picturesque islet of Strombolicchio. At night, the volcano that gives the island its name illuminates the sky. The villa can be accessed by helicopter, as well as by boat.
The interiors are an extension of Dolce and Gabbana’s recognisable style; each of the suites is painted in a different vibrant colour, from emerald green to golden yellow. Furniture upholstered with their own designs sits alongside locally crafted pieces, including hand-painted majolica tiles and lace curtains.
The home is currently on the market with Lionard Luxury Real Estate.
