Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo Perfectly Captures The Magic Of Monaco

Built on a strong foundation of great ambition, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo carries a historic spirit that exudes timelessness in the property’s every facet

French entrepreneur François Blanc, nicknamed ‘the magician of Monte-Carlo’, had a vision: to build a hotel that surpasses everything created up to now – a hotel so unique that it feels too good to be true.

Owned by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, now world-renowned, iconic, even, has confidently achieved this dream. In the centre of Monaco, the area around Place du Casino has undergone a great transformation, giving rise to a new Monte-Carlo: one in which Hôtel de Paris sits at the beating heart.

A true haven, the Diamond Suite – Prince Rainier III houses an expansive main living room, library, dining room and study

My second time staying at this jewel surprised me; I felt like I had never left. From the grand steps, the melody in the entrance, the perfumes in the lounges and the stunning décor to the luxury guestrooms, every detail is preserved. The largest suite in the hotel, Suite Prince Rainier III – inaugurated by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco after the revelation of the Suite Princess Grace – pays homage to Prince Rainier III, to whom Monaco owes its transformation into a leading luxury destination. The Sovereign Prince of Monaco reigned for 56 years, and was dearly loved and respected by society.

The Principality of Monaco, under his guidance, evolved on so many levels: economic, political, social, educational, scientific, sport, and cultural. The suite features a generously sized rooftop, spanning an additional 135m² of exterior space, overlooking mesmerising vistas over the Place du Casino and the pure, natural beauty of Monaco.

Luxury is synonymous with Monte-Carlo

Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo held a special place in the lives of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace. In 1956, their wedding breakfast was served at the hotel; 20 years later, they celebrated their wedding anniversary there; and in 1974, Prince Rainier celebrated the 25th year of his reign at the hotel.

Today, the hotel holds a special place in the lives of many, hosting some of the world’s most spectacular and prestigious parties, including grand weddings.

Tactile finishes and elegant lines invite guests to indulge in gloriously comfortable spaces at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo

Monte-Carlo, with its Belle Époque architecture, breathtaking sea views and lush gardens, makes it one of the most beautiful, timeless and romantic settings for making a commitment of a lifetime. Both magical and historic, couples can begin their lives amidst the idyllic Mediterranean Gardens at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, or celebrate with a lavish dinner in the opulent Salle Empire at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo.

Other settings, like the Midi Terrace at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, provide the perfect place for a sunlit brunch or reception. All of these hotels operate under Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, so the highest level of luxury is to be expected.

Amazónico facilitates gastronomic journeys inspired by the Amazonian region

One of the finest places to dine during a trip to the principality is Amazónico, on the rooftop of the new Café de Paris Monte-Carlo on the Place du Casino, which offers an immersion into the culture, atmosphere and flavours of the countries that border the world’s largest river.

Also of note are L’Abysse and Pavyllon, both helmed by the acclaimed French Chef Yannick Alléno, an inspiring leader in the culinary arts.

After just two visits to this scenic location, I’m convinced it’s one of the best in the world for romance, luxury, culture, and culinary artistry. This is a place you can come to countless times, yet be pleasantly surprised at every return.
