Who says a world-class holiday needs to include a plane ticket?

Say You'll Stay: Madinat Jumeirah's Ultimate Summer Staycation

Whether you've already been on your international summer break, or you're yet to leave our sandy surrounds, there's no better time than now to treat yourself to a staycation. The Madinat Jumeirah is offering a special summer deal to UAE residents across all three of its resorts - Jumeirah Al Qasr, Mina A'Salam and Dar Al Masyaf - so that you can spend the summer (or at least a few days of it) in style.

Bazaar's recommendations? Here's what we think you can't miss:

Daily yoga: The yoga classes are free to hotel guests and happen at 830am and 530pm every day out on a perfectly manicured lawn on the beachfront. With uninterrupted views of the Burj Al Arab and the Arabian Sea, this is yoga at its most luxurious.

Aromatherapy oil massage at Talise Spa: Book yourself in for a 60-minute massage and feel your stress dissipate from the second you walk inside Talise Spa's doors. With a private adults-only pool, sauna and steam rooms, separate women's and men's relaxing areas and a couples majlis, there's everything you could need to spend an entire day. The aromatherapy massage offers a choice of three different oils - Patchouli, Arabian and Wellness - and your therapist will expertly knead any knots and tension out of your body before finishing with a head massage that's so good, we think it should be a standalone menu option.

Wild Wadi: Hey, who said this place was just for the kids? Unleash your inner child - or actual child for that matter - as many times as you like across your stay thanks to unlimited access to the waterpark for hotel guests.

Complimentary happy hour in Dar Al Masyaf: For those guests staying in the Arabian-inspired villas of Dar Al Masyaf, be sure to pop to the reception each day between 6-8pm for complimentary beverages and snacks.

Dinner at The Hide: A relatively new steakhouse in the grounds of Al Qasr, The Hide is as much a feast your stomach as it is for your tastebuds and eyes. Succulent meat in a range of cuts (including three they call "the forgotten cuts" - also known as the butcher's secret, and best, options) from America, Ireland and Spain punctuate the menu, and are complemented by a curated menu of sides and sauces. We recommend ordering two different cuts to share, but just make sure you save room for dessert because the mouthwatering menu options don't stop at the meat. Order the Campfire S'mores - a jar filled with all of the ingredients used to make the classic American treat, topped with fluffy, soft marshmallow. We're sure all of the other dessert options are just as good (the Apple Pie for two is a highlight too, we're told) but there was no going past this one for us.

The Flank Steak at The Hide is a must-order...

...so too is the Campfire S'more, for obvious reasons.

The Madinat Jumeirah staycation package is available until September 30, 2016 and rates start from Dhs990, including dinner. For more information, click here or call +971 4 366 8888.
