Setting sail in 2019, the world-renowned Ritz Carlton brand will be bringing their signature style, service and hospitality to a new type of holiday experience with custom yachts that will chart a global course.
Created by The Ritz-Carlton (who are part of Marriott International) and maritime experts Douglas Prothero and Lars Clasen, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, will consist of three cruising yachts that will visit luxury destinations in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, with trips ranging from seven to ten days to suit both short and long-term travelling schedules. Commenting on this new form of luxury cruise, Herve Humler, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, said; “The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will have a distinctive personality and the vessels are sure to be true stand outs in some of the most glamorous ports around the world. This unique combination of yachting and cruising will usher in a new way of luxury travel for guests seeking to discover the world in a relaxed, casually elegant and comfortable atmosphere with the highest level of personalized service.”
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection
Being a smaller capacity vessel, measuring at 190 meters and accommodating up to 298 passengers in 149 suites, the yacht has more access than most cruises and will call at unique destinations that don't usually feature on a cruise liner vacation such as Capri, Portofino, St. Barths and Cartagena. Sailing at a slow, relaxing pace the boats offer both overnight and daytime ports of call so guests can explore the bustling nightlife along the way as well as stopping for a quick excursion on shore.
If you don't fancy stepping off the yacht though, (and we wouldn't blame you), there is still plenty to do, see and eat on-board with a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three Michelin-starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg, a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa, and a Panorama Lounge, where guests can kick back with a glass of bubbly and enjoy the view. Each yacht will also host collaborations with local artisans, chefs, musicians and artists along the way, bringing the culture and food on each port into the experience.
Reservations will open in May 2018, and if you're feeling extra fancy, each vessel is also available for private charter.
See you on board.
