You Can Now Stay at Janhvi Kapoor’s Coastal Home in Chennai
The elaborate family mansion offers a tranquil escape steeped in natural beauty and rich cultural heritage
Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor is opening up her luxurious family vacation home to guests on Airbnb.
As the daughter of actor-producer couple, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, Jahnvi’s late mother always had a dream of converting their elaborate coastal property into a lavish hotel escape.
Now, the actress is fulfilling her mother’s wishes with the launch of Airbnb’s new Icon’s category, which offers unique travel experiences to guests, hosted by some of the greatest names in music, film, art, and television.
Located in Akkarai, a posh residential locality in Chennai, India, the Kapoor family mansion is nestled on four acres of plush green land. In photos of the home listed on Airbnb, we are given a glimpse into the stunning estate, featuring a grand hand-crafted, marble lotus sculpture at the entrance of the home, expansive, earthy interiors adorned with bamboo, marble and rattan, a minimalist living room, and an airy master bedroom.
Towards the back of the house, an idyllic garden completed with palm trees, fountains, a palatial swimming pool, and shaded gazebo area offer the perfect spot for al fresco dining or sunset watching.
The home is steeped in rich cultural heritage, and stands as a testament to the Kapoor family legacy. Cherished family photographs adorn the walls while artworks completed by Janhvi and her sister Khushi, are also on display.
As part of the experience, guests will also get to meet Janhvi and spend a day in her life. Highlights of the stay include a private tour of the house as the actress shares her fondest memories of the times spent there, a morning yoga session followed by a scrumptious breakfast, and a relaxation session where Janhvi takes guests through her all-natural skincare routine.
The new Airbnb Icons category will feature 11 Icon experiences, including staying at the property of American rapper, Doja Cat, and exploring the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy.
