La Mer, City Walk, Kite Beach and Other Dubai Hotspots Have Reopened
The Meraas developments are adhering to strict social distancing protocols, while opening up to the public again
Meraas has reopened their commercial operations for visitors in Dubai.
As of yesterday Meraas developments La Mer, Boxpark, Al Seef, Bluewaters, City Walk, Kite Beach and all Last Exit were all open to the public.
Strict guidelines and measures must be followed by both visitors and staff. All spots will be open from 12:00 – 22:00 and visitors will only be allowed to stay for a maximum of three hours.
According to Gulf News, Meraas stated “many necessary and rigorous social distancing, safety checks, health and safety measures, and sterilisation processes have been implemented across our destinations to safeguard public health and to ensure our public spaces are hygienic, safe and clean, and which conform to the stringent regulations laid out by the relevant government authorities, as we continue to uphold the UAE’s efforts to mitigate and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.”
A ‘Red Tag System’ has been put in place which aims to limit the number of people within stores. Shoppers will not be able to enter stores that have a red tag on its door, indicating the shop is at full capacity.
Meraas locations will also follow the same precautionary measures that all Dubai shopping malls are currently adhering to, in order to stop the spread of the virus. This includes temperature checks before entry by both visitors and staff, adhering to proper social distancing protocols and wearing a mask at all times.
All entertainment and attractions, changing rooms and prayer areas will remain closed and valet parking services are currently suspended.
Food and beverage, retail business partners and tenants will reopen outlets in compliance with the new legal and regulatory frameworks recommended by the UAE’s authorities.
