Guests will have the opportunity to own a truly beautiful piece of artwork by Athens-born artist Tania Dimitrakopoulou this coming Thursday, as the UAE's capital gets ready for the 2020 edition of the Abu Dhabi Dream Ball, presented by Etihad Airways and hosted by Abu Dhabi-based collective Sawtouna, held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance.
All proceedings from the benevolent gala's silent auction will go towards the UNHCR's efforts in helping Syrian Refugees in Lebanon.
Dimitrakopoulou's work has been globally exhibited. She graduated with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Kingston University in the United Kingdom in 1991. She was later accepted into the School of Fine Arts in Athens and graduated in 2003. A large selection of her paintings can be found in precious collections around the world. Dimitrakopoulou has frequently provided her work to be held at auctions for charitable causes.
Tickets and tables to the 2020 Abu Dhabi Dream Ball are available for purchase via 800 Tickets. All proceeds from ticket and table sales will be directed towards the UNHCR's efforts in Lebanon.
