Back for a second year running, McDonald's UAE is launching its Ramadan Books campaign, in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent. Last year, the campaign saw astounding success: 60,000 books were sold, generating a jaw-dropping grand total of Dhs320,000, all of which was donated to Emirates Red Crescent. This year, the campaign will run throughout the holy month and sees children's books sold at McDonald's across the UAE for Dhs5. Emirates Red Crescent hopes to reinvest the earnings into local programmes to bring about community-wide improvements. The books, written exclusively for McDonald’s, have messages about kindness, friendship and tolerance at their core and inspire positivity in the young readers.
The Ramadan Books are available at McDonald's restaurants across the UAE from 4 May to 3 June.
