It's one the city's most hotly anticipated additions, and Bazaar can confirm that Dubai Opera will most certainly live up to expectations when it officially opens its doors to the public tomorrow night.

Located in the brand new Opera District in Downtown Dubai, the 2,000-person capacity building is jawdropping from the moment you arrive. The exterior is grand and formidable, located just metres from the Burj Khalifa, offering a beautiful juxtaposition of one of the city's most enduring icons and its newest.

The interiors are equally as inviting, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows keeping the space light, airy and modern. Upon entrance to the theatre itself, Bazaar was immediately impressed with how intimate the vast space felt. No matter where you're seated, you're guaranteed a spectacular view (and will enjoy it in cleverly comfortable seating, too).

Bazaar was invited to watch the exclusive dress rehearsal for The Barber of Seville, which will debut on September 2, followed by a second showing on September 4. The opera is widely considered to be one the world's best comedic operas, and is truly a journey for all senses. Performed by Teatro Verdi Trieste, it's a world-class production of a classic opera and serves as the perfect introduction to opera for those who have never been (and it comes with English and Arabic subtitles so that you can follow the storyline easily).

The theatre, which you can get a first glimpse at in our gallery above, will open tomorrow evening with a performance by legendary Spanish conductor and tenor Plácido Domingo, and all tickets are all sold out.

With a stellar line-up in the coming months - Team Bazaar will be back almost weekly given that Les Misérables, Gisele and West Side Story are all on the agenda - there's certainly something for everyone. To secure your tickets, visit the official website. We'll certainly see you there.
