Nelly Karim and Angham both took home awards
Last night, Lebanon’s annual award ceremony Murex D’or took place in Beirut’s Casino du Liban and te red carpet was awash with the Arab entertainment industry’s biggest names. Actress Nelly Karim and signer Angham were there, as were famed Arab musicians and Ward El Khal, Julie Pietri Égérie and Daniella Rahme.

Egyptian Angham took home the award for Best Female Singer.
Nelly Karim, who looked sensational in a black strapless number from Kojak Studio, won Best Arabic Actress Award.
Also picking up an award for Best Actress (Lebanon division) was Ward EL-Khal, who stunned in an icy blue embellished gown by Ziad Nakad and jewels by HANNA Jewelry.
Actress Stephanie Saliba, who served up all the fairy tale vibes in her Zuhair Murad dress and thorn headband, shared a sweet message on her Instagram about her win.
Tamer Hosny took home the Golden Murex Trophy for Best Arabic Singer and Abed Fahed won Best Arabic Actor.
Murex D’or was founded in 2000 by Lebanese physicians Dr. Zahi Helou and Dr. Fadi Helou and aims to honour Arab talent from film and music.
