The stars have descended on San Diego for Comic Con, and Marvel has taken the opportunity to announce a plethora of new movie announcements – all of which support a new era of women in Hollywood.
Much to the delight of fans, Angelina Jolie confirmed at the event that she is starring in The Eternals, based upon the comic book of the same name by artist Jack Kirby. Marvel also confirmed that Jolie’s co-stars will include Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff and Don Lee.
The 44-year-old Oscar-winning actress looked chic as ever in a black dress, black heels and Cartier accessories, including Juste un Clou earrings, and a Cactus de Cartier ring.
In their new, post-Avengers, roster, Marvel also announced that Scarlett Johansson will make her solo outing in Black Widow, which is due on May 1, 2020, and Natalie Portman has been confirmed as female Thor in Thor: Love And Thunder, due in November 2021.
