Update: 25/09/2019 - Post Malone is the fourth and final artist to be announced as a performer at the 2018 Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit. Earlier this year, the American rapper broke the record previously held by The Beatles by having for the most simultaneous top 20 in the Hot 100 - Post Malone had nine, whilst The Beatles had six.
Original story - Award-winning singer-songwriter Sam Smith has just been announced for Abu Dhabi Formula 1’s after-race concerts. The “Stay With Me” singer will headline Yasalam’s Saturday concert on 24 November at the du Arena on Yas Island.
Smith joins an already stellar line-up, which includes The Weeknd on Friday 23 November, and Guns ‘N’ Roses on Sunday 25 November.
“Sam Smith is the third A-list international artist we have announced for the Yasalam After-Race Concerts as part of the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race weekend,” said Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO of Yas Marina Circuit.
“2018 marks a very significant year for us as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and with three great acts now revealed, we are looking forward to announcing the final artist who will take to the stage as part of an incredible weekend of racing and live music and entertainment for all ticket holders.”
With three huge acts already on the bill, organisers could be saving another big name for the final reveal. Watch this space…
