Photographer, model and fashion icon, Sharjah-born social media influencer Dana Hourani adds ‘singer’ to her ever-growing CV. The mother-of-one has teamed up with Arabic boy band Adonis to cover Wheatus’ Teenage Dirtbag.
The Arabic rendition has a decidedly indie-meets-folky approach, compared to the original rock version. Press play on the video for a sneak peek into soon-to-be hit.

“There’s no better feeling than nostalgia,” Dana Hourani tells Bazaar. “When this idea first came about I knew it would only bring back a powerful nostalgic feeling to everyone hearing it. It could only make people smile”
The boys from Adonis add. “We’re always told we’re the underdogs of the new Arabic music scene, especially that we keep our beyond-the-music interaction as minimal as possible. From her side, Dana has an understated elegance in her work, far from being the flashy and extravagant character you would expect a fashion figure to be; I think this is the level at which we clicked most.”
Always aptly dressed, the group are all dressed in Lebanese label, Boyfriend The Brand – a rather fitting choice given the subject of the song.
And if Instagram is anything to go by, we’ve got a few more covers to look forward to soon.
