Lady Gaga Partners With Starbucks To Create Line Of Drinks
And it’s all for a good cause
Lady Gaga has collaborated with global coffee shop chain Starbucks to bring out a range of rainbow-coloured beverages as part of their Cups of Kindness campaign. Starbucks will donate twenty-five cents of every beverage sold to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, which supports youth wellness and empowerment, and will help raise funds for youth programmes that spread the message of kindness and create positive environments, including offering mental health resources.
“We’re healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect,” the signer said in a statement. “Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection.”
The weeklong initiative, starting today and running to June 19, includes the already-existing Starbucks menu items, Pink Drink and Ombré Pink Drink, and branches out to two new colours. The new Violet Drink blends blackberries and tart hibiscus with coconut milk and ice, and the bright green Matcha Tea Lemonade, which Gaga claims to be her favourite, combines Matcha green tea with lemonade.
While the Cups of Kindness campaign only runs until next week, the Matcha Tea Lemonade and Violet Drink will be on the menu permanently.
