Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Reportedly Want Kids “Right Away”
It’s baby fever for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
It’s no secret that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to start a family. Even before their royal wedding last month, the couple openly spoke about their plans to have children. But after tying the knot at Windsor Castle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s desire to have kids has apparently only grown.
Now, “having children is definitely a priority,” a source close to the pair told Us Weekly. Meghan and Harry “want to start a family right away—and she’ll start trying as soon as she can.”
A royal insider added that the Duke and Duchess “both can’t wait to start a family,” but it wouldn’t be a surprise if they wait it out to have kids, since their lives are a little crazy post-royal wedding.
“Harry and Meghan won’t rush into anything. They have a lot on their plate right now,” the insider told the weekly. “But they both think that when the moment feels right, that will be the time to go for it. They’ll make fantastic parents.”
Markle’s mum, Doria Ragland, is also looking forward to welcoming grandchildren. “Doria is expecting to be a grandmother by this time next year,” another source told Us.”She’s very excited for Meghan to become a mother.”
The Duchess of Sussex dropped a hint about having kids with her husband during a royal engagement in March. Gesturing to a table of baby products, she said, “I’m sure at some point we’ll need the whole thing,” while Harry smiled beside her.
The couple was already hinting at having children in their post-engagement interview in November. “Of course,” Harry said when asked if they wanted kids. “You know, one step at a time. Hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.” Markle nodded in agreement.
