The Duchess of Sussex wore a cream-colored headscarf today as she and the Duke of Sussex visited Auwal Mosque in Cape Town’s Bo Kaap neighbourhood. The young royals met with officials at South Africa’s first and oldest mosque to promote interfaith dialogue in Cape Town. The Duchess was spotted wearing a stylish but demure full-length khaki green dress with simple flats as a sign of respect for the occasion, and both removed their shoes before entering in adherence with the mosque’s requirements.
The visit to Auwal Mosque took place on the second day of the Duke and Duchess’ 10-day tour of South Africa. The trip marks the couple’s first major royal tour since the birth of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The royals have already won the hearts of Cape Town’s locals as they spent the first two days giving heartfelt speeches, dancing with locals and learning about the country’s complex history.
