Jeddah World Fest is taking place on 18 July at the KASC Stadium, and last week a line-up that included Steve Aoki, Liam Payne and K-Pop was announced. The concert was also supposed to welcome a performance from Nicki Minaj, until yesterday when the artist abruptly cancelled her plans to visit the Kingdom.
"After careful reflection I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest,” the Starships singer said.
The festival organisers also apologised to fans and offered refunds.
"Unfortunately Nicki Minaj has cancelled her live performance at Jeddah World Fest on July 18th due to personal reasons. Ticket refunds will be offered if desired. Please note the second wave of performers will be announced this week," Jeddah World Fest posted on its social media channels.
Jeddah World Fest is continuing as normal, and according to their Instagram page, will be announcing new acts and headliners very soon. Watch this space.
