Prince Charles Is Releasing His Very Own Fashion Collection

Following in the fashionable footsteps of his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, Prince Charles has just announced that he will be launching his first-ever fashion collection. The royal's charity, The Prince's Foundation, has partnered with Yoox Net-a-Porter on a brand new project to create an exclusive capsule collection for both men and women.

The name of the collection has been revealed as The Modern Artisan, and is set to launch next summer with an A/W20 collection. The collaborative collection aims to bring together handicraft skills and techniques with digitally driven designs and high-end sustainable manufacturing. As a result, this unique collaboration aims to equip young design students with the necessary skills to succeed in the ever-growing landscape of digital design.

Designed in Italy and crafted in the UK, Federico Marchetti, chairman and CEO of Yoox Net-a-Porter has stated that, "The Modern Artisan collection will be an important expression of how talent and technology can work across boundaries and borders".

He continued, "This project, part of a longterm partnership between Yoox Net-a-Porter and The Prince’s Foundation, will help equip a new generation of skilled men and women to fuse traditional craft with digitally-infused creativity - and, importantly, to do so sustainably, following the example of HRH The Prince of Wales who has dedicated the last 40 years to building a more sustainable future."

The Modern Artisan will be available to buy at Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter, The Outnet, and at Yoox once it is released. All profits from the collection will go directly to The Prince's Foundation, which helps to support people in need through the power of community.
