Saudi's Princess Reema Meets Donald Trump At The White House

The Saudi princess met with the US president to present her credentials at the Kingdom’s top diplomat in Washington

Saudi Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud began her duties as the Kingdom’s first female ambassador to the US last week.

The 44-year-old diplomat, a George Washington University graduate, expressed excitement on social media, writing, “Looking forward to starting this chapter of my life in Washington DC.”



One week on, Princess Reema has met with President Donald Trump and presented her credentials as the Kingdom's top diplomat in Washington.

“Presented credentials today at the White House,” she wrote on Twitter. “Conveyed the well wishes of Kingdom’s Leadership. Looking forward to working on strengthening and solidifying the historic Saudi - U.S partnership.”



The princess became the 11th Saudi diplomatic representative to Washington since 1945, marking an opening that could grant women greater prominence in government positions.

Her social media post was met with a flood of replies from Arab woman sending their well wishes

“We are counting on you to maintain our great relationship with our friends in the US,” one follower wrote.



“I wish you success, you are a real special person & the best one who are representing our country and our values,” replied another Saudi national.
