Priyanka Chopra And Mindy Kaling Confirm They Are Doing A Movie Together

The rom-com is based on an Indian wedding set between America and India

The ultimate Bollywood-meets-Hollywood dream team Priyanka Chopra and Mindy Kaling took to Twitter and Instagram this weekend to confirm they will be starring in a movie together this year.

Details of the pitch are being kept under wraps but what we do know is that the rom-com will be set between India and America, and will tell the story of an Indian wedding, drawing on cultural nuances with plenty of lols along the way. Reports have also described the flick to be “mix of Crazy Rich Asians meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding”.

Universal Studios will be producing the movie, which will be written by Kaling together with comedy writer Dan Goor, who has previously worked on scripts for The Daily Show, Last Call with Carson Daly and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
