Sarah Jessica Parker has once again proven that she is still the ultimate queen of fashion-forward quirkiness. The New York resident channelled major Carrie Bradshaw vibes on Friday when she stepped out of her West Village townhouse dressed in a traffic-stopping, '80s-inspired Zac Posen gown.
The former Harper's BAZAAR Arabia cover star paired her fuscia ball gown, which featured oversized billowing sleeves and a gigantic layered skirt with a sleek updo and blue eyeshadow; a beauty look reminiscent of that which Carrie wore for her infamous wedding scene in the Sex and The City movie.
The real highlight of Sarah Jessica Parker’s look for the New York City Ballet Gala lay past the layers of her sumptuous gown as the star deliberately wore two mismatched sandals from her eponymous shoe brand, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Wearing a golden yellow satin slingback style on one foot and embellished hot pink embellished slide in the other, Sarah Jessica Parker literally resurrected Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic mismatched shoe moment from the iconic show’s “Escape From New York” episode which first aired 19 years ago. A fashion moment that thrown social media into a total frenzy; proving once again that literally no one can do fashion like Carrie Bradshaw.

One of those nights. So magical you need proof it really happened. To all friends and patrons who joined us last night and every year at our Fall Gala, to our wonderful designers @zacposen @annasui who brought all their skill and devotion, to our inspired choreographers @laurenlovette @edwaardliang, to the rapturous orchestra and it's leader Andrew Litton and to the extraordinary dancers of the @nycballet who are deservedly on the receiving end of bravos after every performance I am indebted, in awe and most grateful.
