To celebrate the UAE's 48th National Day, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council took to the skies of Dubai to take his beloved nation's flag to new heights. Dubai's adventurous Crown Prince took to Instagram to share a spectacular video which showcased his love for his country and document the UAE's newest World Record for the 'largest flag flown in free fall'.

The video shows Sheikh Hamdan jumping out of a plane over Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah with three other comrades. Flying thousands of feet in the air, the four skydivers impressively synchronise and coordinate the unfolding of a 144.28 meter long UAE flag which then majestically flutters vertically in the air over the UAE. Two additional skydivers are also captured creating perfectly choreographed spirals of green and red smoke around the flag during the fall. A breathtaking display of national pride and love that you simply cannot miss.

Happy UAE National Day!
