The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child this spring

It's confirmed, ladies and gents: Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is pregnant, as announeced by Kensington Palace on Twitter. A spokesperson from the Palace said: "Their Royal Highnesses are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in Spring 2019...Their Royal Highnesses very much appreciate all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share their happy news."

Pregnancy rumors have been making the rounds for weeks now, as Meghan has been spotted in loose-fitting clothing, like the oversized blue coat she just wore to Princess Eugenie's wedding. The announcement comes just five months after tying the knot at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The happy couple just arrived in Sydney, Australia, today for a 16-day-long tour through Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

Big congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — consider us officially on maternity style watch!
