The Royal Wedding Left Even Oprah Speechless
“This right here is a whole ‘nother level!”
America’s own royal, Oprah, has divulged her favourite details from the royal wedding in the August issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.
In the issue, out 10 July, the media mogul recalls the overwhelming emotion she felt as she approached St. George’s Chapel on the day of the wedding. “It literally took my breath away,” she writes. “I exclaimed out loud to no one in particular: ‘Whoa! This right here is a whole ‘nother level!'”
And while Windsor Castle alone is enough to take anyone’s breath away, Oprah says it was Harry and Meghan’s visible connection that made the event all the more magical. “Both of them were glowing with happiness,” she writes. “I can’t wait to see the goodness that will come from their union. Goodness that I know for sure will help change the way the world thinks about what is possible, even more than it already has.”
Oprah goes on to discuss the magnitude of the moment, acknowledging the bride’s unique place in history.
“And I thought immediately of the history, the legacy, the astounding moment Meghan Markle was stepping into,” she writes. “And what it would take to be prepared for such a moment. The life she was leaving behind and the new world to which she was rising—all part of a destiny she helped design.”
