The Duchess of Cambridge Has Received Her First Dose of The COVID-19 Vaccine

Kate Middleton shared a photo on Instagram to show that she too has been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been instrumental in supporting the British public throughout the entire pandemic; whether it’s jumping on Zoom calls or participating in socially distanced events, the couple have done what they can to keep moral up during these incredibly difficult times. And while there now appears to be light at the end of the tunnel with vaccination programmes being rolled out around the world, both are still doing their part to keep spirits high — while encouraging everyone to get vaccinated.

A recent Instagram post, shared yesterday on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official Instagram channel, reveals that Kate Middleton has received her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

“Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum,” the caption reads. “I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout – thank you for everything you are doing.”

While official royal channels have yet to comment on the type of vaccine the Duchess received, the message is clear: if it’s safe enough for a future queen, it’s safe for all.
