Sarah Jessica Parker Has Collaborated On A Wedding Collection
This marks her first foray into bridal ready-to-wear
Sarah Jessica Parker has collaborated on a bridal ready-to-wear collection for the first time. The actress has created a 10-piece collection with US retailer Gilt, entitled SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Bridal.
The collection is made up of 10 different styles which are designed to see a woman through a variety of bridal occasions, from walking down the aisle to the bridal shower. As well as classic gowns, there are less traditional pieces including bodysuits and jumpsuits.
“Not only is Sarah Jessica Parker’s style known around the world, her point of view is one-of-a-kind,” Tom Ott, chief merchant of Gilt told WWD. “Sarah Jessica brings her impeccable taste and fashion sensibility to life in this collection. We think our customers will be delighted with the offering which is stylish and well-priced in the bridal category.”
As well as the ready-to-wear pieces, Gilt will be offering 15 exclusive styles from the SJP footwear collection, meaning brides can create top-to-toe looks.
“The intent is they should be usable outside of that special occasion,” Parker said of the collection. “Whether you’re the person walking down the aisle, or you’re attending, these are all pieces that should be relevant in your closet. There are some pieces that feel more decadent and more specifically bridal. There’s no law saying they’re not appropriate for many other important occasions as well.”
The bridal collection ranges from £210 (Dhs1,077) to £1,700 (Dhs8,722), while the shoes range from £250 (Dhs1,283) to £345 (Dhs1,770) and will be available from tomorrow.
