Dalia's Mdardara Recipe

1 TBSP butter
2 TBSP olive oil
1 onion cut in length
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
1 TBSP olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 ½ tsp cumin
¼ tsp black pepper
1 cup lentils (soaked 2h in water)
1 cup basmati rice (rinsed)
½ tsp salt plus more to taste
Water (approx 750ml)

Mint Yoghurt:
600g yoghurt
1 garlic clove, minced (forgot to mention the garlic in yoghurt)
1 tsp dried mint
½ tsp salt
2 TBSP olive oil
A squeeze of lemon
