The Director of Bulgari Watches Design Centre spoke to Bazaar about the novelties revealed at this year’s Baselworld show

For 2018, the Italian luxury jewellery house has reinvented some of its most iconic designs. First up is the Lvcea model with a tubogas bracelet, a technique that has been used by Bulgari since the 1940s. Using white, pink and yellow gold, the dial is adorned with diamonds with a cabochon-cut rubellite winding crown.

Bulgari’s Lvcea family continues to grow for 2018 with the next Lvcea Skeleton design. Perfect for the woman who appreciates the technical finesse of fine watchmaking, the timepiece features a complicated automatic winding BVL 191 skeleton movement, with its skeletonised dial design further enhanced by the arrangement of Bulgari’s logo letters in steel and rose gold varieties.

Last year’s Twist Your Time collection sees new strap and dial additions for 2018, including a classic intricate chain bracelet of gold. This is still interchangeable with the coloured leather strap options, offering instant customisation for a unique and playful watch.
