Everything Paris Hilton Wore To World of Fashion 2022

The television star turned entrepreneur paid the Bazaar Closet a visit last Tuesday, sharing insight into her own wardrobe, favourite outfit of all time and first designer pieces…

While many were delighted to stop by the Bazaar Closet at World of Fashion 2022, hosted in partnership with Mall of The Emirates, nobody was more excited that Paris Hilton. The 41-year-old fashion icon-turned-fragrance mogul paid the closet a visit last Tuesday afternoon, kicking off the festivities of the six-day event which concluded yesterday evening. “Just the entryway walking in here, its holographic – it’s the same exact colour as my car. So sick. Just walking around, all the pink – it reminds me of my closet in L.A.,” she said, when asked what she thought of the space, which had been curated by the Harper’s Bazaar Arabia fashion team. “I like pink and I love sparkles,” she smiled. Surprise, surprise.

Speaking to Bazaar Arabia’s Editor in Chief, Olivia Phillips, Paris shared how the space reminded her of her own closets back home in L.A.

“I just moved into my new house and I’ve actually turned seven of the bedrooms into closets, so it kind of feels like you’re at a mall. You go in and there is a room for sunglasses, and then there is one for shoes and then there is one for handbags. There are a lot of different dress rooms, like my Burning Man costumes and Halloween costumes are in an area,” Paris tells Olivia, who was in town promoting her newest perfume Ruby Rush before heading off to Mumbai, India for the next leg of her tour. “I’m still organising it, we just moved in two weeks ago,” she said, referring to her husband Carter Reum, whom she wed last year.

“I have these gorgeous crystal cabinets and just all of my perfumes are there, with beautiful lights on them and they sparkle. It makes me so proud to wake up and look at them every morning and spray them on me,” she said, proudly carrying around her newest creation, liberally spritzing herself with Ruby Rush whenever the opportunity arose – which was quite frequently considered she changed into a pink printed Philosophy dress minutes after stepping inside the Bazaar Closet.

Having created 28 different perfumes throughout the past two decades, Paris is a bit of an expert when it comes to knowing what works best in the category of fun, flirty scents. “A fragrance that I wore back [in the day] is the OG Paris Hilton fragrance – my first perfume that I released and it’s just so amazing. Every time I’m travelling and I see my fans… people love that perfume and still rock it. That definitely brings back lots of memories.”

Naturally, the conversation with Paris and Olivia turned to fashion, as the Simple Life star perused racks upon racks of the season’s most coveted pieces by Elisabetta Franchi, Ferragamo, Furla, CH by Carolina Herrera and more.

“One dress that I will always cherish is my Julien Macdonald 21st birthday dress. It’s so iconic and so many people recreated that look so that dress is definitely a statement piece,” she noted.

Having just walked down the aisle last year in a beautiful gown by the designer, she’s found a unique way to remember what surely was one of the most special moments of her life.

“My husband actually is having it put into a big lucite display, so my wedding dress will be upstairs when you walk in,” Paris says. “It’ll just be my dress on a mannequin – I don’t know on what, but my husband was doing that for me right now.”

What was her first designer piece? “My first luxury item was an Oscar de la Renta bag,” Paris says. “It was covered in crystals and just so gorgeous. My friends Fernando [Garcia] and Laura [Kim] are the designers… and they made my wedding dress. It’s just so beautiful.”

She couldn’t resist trying on this blue jacket, which can be shopped at THAT Concept Store in Mall of The Emirates
