With the Holy month of Ramadan announced according to the lunar sightings of the Hijari calendar, Vacheron's latest ladies timepieces are also inspired by the ancient art of astronomy and its close relationship with the measurement of time.
Bazaar's Editor-In-Chief Louise Nichol welcomed guests to the event with a quote from the UAE's Founding Father Sheikh Zayed: "He who does not know his past cannot make the best of his present and future, for it is from the past that we learn." With a similar attitude Vacheron Constantin looks to its 261-year old heritage to create unique timepieces that will stand the test of time.
Such pieces were showcased and tried on by guests at the event, against a backdrop of live musical entertainment and zodiac-themed henna and calligraphy. The evening's astronomical theme was reflective of Vacheron's own watchmaking artists, who have captured the Moon and Stars through the dial and movements of these latest collections.
