The performance paid homage to Bon Jovi’s special collaboration with the Invictus Games which was recorded within the famed Abbey Road Studios
The Queen’s Guard are known for their exceptional composure, upholding centuries-old traditions which can be traced back to 1660. So when the Buckingham Palace guards chose to play Bon Jovi’s chart-topping hit single ‘Living On A Prayer’ at the renowned Changing of the Guard ceremony, the result was nothing short of epic.
The ceremony, which takes place on a daily basis and attracts tourists from around the world, represents The Queen’s Guard handing over the responsibility of protecting Buckingham Palace and St. James’ Palace to the New Guard.
The performance paid homage to Bon Jovi’s special collaboration with the Invictus Games. The award-winning American singer-songwriter has created a special song called ‘Unbroken’ to shine a spotlight on veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI). The single, which was recorded in the famed Abbey Road Studios, features the Invictus Games Choir and is set to release this month in support of the Invictus Games.
