Directly after the confirmation of the South Korean singer’s solo debut, the internet has fallen into a deep frenzy — devoted fans have been waiting for this special moment and it has finally arrived.
The twenty-seven-year-old South Korean singer and actress is known for being a member of the best-selling K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK which is often dubbed the “biggest girl group in the world”. Although, Jisoo has had immense success away from the group such as starring in the South Korean Drama-Comedy TV series, The Producers in addition to playing the leading role in the South Korean TV series — Snowdrop.
Kim Ji-soo known as Jisoo made her debut as a member of BLACKPINK alongside fellow members, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa on August 8, 2016, with the release of their single album — Square One. Since then, Jisoo has been named an ambassador for a variety of well-known luxury brands such as Dior and Cartier.
When Will BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Release Her Solo Debut?
According to Soompi, the South Korean multinational entertainment agency — YG Entertainment are pleased to announce that Jisoo is “currently working hard on recording her solo album,” the entertainment agency continued in their statement, “While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise with fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news,”
Supporters of both the K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK and exclusive fans of Jisoo herself have been waiting for the South Korean singer’s solo debut for a while now. Unfortunately, a specific date for when fans can expect the debut is not known although it has been confirmed it will be released this year.
