Is Maddy Perez in The Idol?
Alexa Demie makes a cameo in forthcoming series as Maddy Perez, and Levinson reveals both productions take place in the same universe
A feisty baddie with an amicable spirit. That pretty much sums up Alexa Demie’s character, Maddy Perez, in Euphoria. So, were we really surprised to learn that there are rumours she’ll be making an appearance in the upcoming new series, The Idol, by Sam Levinson? Nope.
According to all the speculation out of Cannes last week, where the first two episodes of the series premiered, guests saw that Alexa was in attendance, leading many to speculate that there will be a crossover in the two universes… Something which Sam has confirmed.
This means that perhaps we could see characters from both series interacting with one and another in the new show.
The Idol is set amidst the context of the music industry, the plot centers around the lead characters; Jocelyn, a young and aspiring pop artist portrayed by Lily-Rose Depp, and Abel Tesfaye (a.k.a. The Weeknd) who is also the co-creator of the show, who plays self-help guru and cult leader Tedros.
If any further Euphoria characters are placed throughout the series, we will not know until the show finally premieres on June 4th.
