Cristiano Ronaldo Honours Saudi Tradition By Performing The Ardah

In Tuesday’s riveting match, Al Nassr won a 4-0 victory over Al Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.

However, what truly captured the spotlight wasn’t solely the score but rather the celebratory gesture by the Portuguese football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo. Different from his usual “sui” celebration, Cristiano embraced Saudi culture with open arms. After scoring, the player showcased the traditional Saudi Arabian dance, known as the Ardah.

The official account for Roshn has taken to Twitter posting a video of Cristiano’s celebratory moment with the caption “Ronaldo has become part of our culture.”

Cristiano’s integration into the Saudi football scene, particularly as a key player for Al Nassr, has undeniably marked a historic moment. Ever since joining the Riyadh-based club, he has achieved an impressive record, scoring 25 times in a mere 29 matches. The star player was given a warm welcome into Saudi upon his arrival earlier this year, stating in an interview with Piers Morgan, that he is “absolutely loving Saudi, on and off the pitch.”

The football star shared an Instagram post of his victorious win captioning it “What an amazing atmosphere in our stadium! Very happy to celebrate this win with our fans.”
