Highlights From Gaggenau, Lamborghini And Firetti Contemporary’s Intimate Suhoor In Dubai
The rare collaboration brings together luxury, art and culture under one roof
Marking a first for the three powerhouses, Lamborghini, Dubai’s art gallery Firetti Contemporary, and luxury home brand Gaggenau came together to celebrate culture, art and spirituality during the month of Ramadan. In an ultra-exclusive Suhoor event hosted during The Majlis exhibition, Gaggenau designed an intimate culinary journey powered by the brand’s longstanding passion for artistic expression.
Curated by Firetti Contemporary and on view at the Lamborghini showroom, the exhibition showcases artists from the MENA region and beyond in the form of sculptures, paintings and live performances that resonate with the spiritual essence of this sacred time.

Works of note include two sculptures by Sylvestre Gauvrit, depicting his sensitivity, perceptiveness, and exceptional craftsmanship—an homage to the world’s profound intricacies. One is made from marble while the other from steel; the pieces beautifully capture Sylvestre’s ability to shape raw materials into mesmerising artworks that beckon cross-cultural understanding.

Another highlight is Egyptian artist Diaa Allam’s Arabic calligraphy, which connects tradition and modernity. His paintings ‘Tracks of Our Lives’ explore individual paths from childhood to adulthood, as well as the wins and fails we all experience in our lives. The artist reminds the viewer that despite our differences, we all share a common journey.

Other featured artists include Yousra Wahba (Egypt), Sabah Arbilli (Iraq), and Ghaleb Hawila (Lebanon). Each work is a gateway into humanity’s shared experiences, regardless of diverse upbringings.
The exhibition, embracing the togetherness that comes with Ramadan, expresses the universality of art as a language to connect, engage and convey stories.

Here, Tomas Alonso, CEO of BSH Home Appliances Middle East – a company selling the brands Gaggenau, Siemens and Bosch into the Gulf region since 1998 – sits down with BAZAAR Arabia in an exclusive interview.
Gaggenau has always been big on artistic expression. How does The Majlis exhibition align with the brand’s values?
The idea isn’t only to associate Gaggenau with artistic expressions or luxury brands but to offer unforgettable experiences to our customers while co-creating events with them. If we’re simply selling or showing ‘products’, we will be considered just another brand. With Gaggenau, and through events like our most recent one in The Majlis, where we were surrounded by luxury brands like Lamborghini, our intention is to present our products as culinary top experiences to our customers, while they cook surrounded by amazing landscapes.

What do you think is the recipe for successful, sustainable, and profitable growth?
Many things must contribute to achieving this desired scenario, like vision, strategy, passion, leadership, and people. However, one factor is critical: If you are working for the company and are able to involve your people under the same belief as if it were their own company, everything you do will have significance and you will consider every single movement as the most important one. You will understand that every decision you make will not only have a result, but will also have a purpose, and the rest will follow.

What can guests expect from the culinary journey by Gaggenau at The Majlis exhibition?
A different event compared to others held in Dubai. An experience in itself. The opportunity to be surrounded by an amazing environment while interacting with luxury brands like Gaggenau or Lamborghini, all while adhering to the culture of the country by respecting Ramadan and enjoying a delicious Suhoor with other people with similar interests.

How have you seen Gaggenau grow since your role as CEO over the years?
We are very proud of our achievements. Since 2018, we have implemented a strategy to establish Gaggenau as the sole luxury brand in the home appliances industry in Dubai, UAE and the GCC in general, setting us apart from other brands in this sector. We have invested a lot of time, resources, and effort to grow by over 415 per cent between 2018 and 2023. Moving forward, we don’t want to reduce the speed of our growth. We aim to keep capitalising on the opportunities that the market is presenting to the luxury industry. Our projected growth is to double our current figures by 2026. gaggenau.com
