Emirati Graduate Nadine Kabbani is Sending Her Music into Space

Astronauts at the International Space Station will soon have a fresh set of track to listen to thanks to this young NYU Abu Dhabi student

This September the International Space Station will be filled with the spellbinding sounds of Emirati graduate Nadine Kabbani’s composition, No Gravity.

A SpaceX rocket will transport her celestial-inspired masterpiece to the orbiting laboratory, where it will serenade astronauts. The piece merges classical instruments with synthesisers, and beautifully captures the essence of floating unanchored between worlds. Nadine’s artistry highlights the universal longing for connection and belonging.

At the mere age of 20, Nadine emerged victorious in the prestigious Astrobeat: Music From Space competition held by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology. Having recently completed her studies at New York University Abu Dhabi, where she pursued a Bachlor’s degree in Legal Studies and Music, her musical prowess knows no bounds.

Joining Kabbani in this cosmic musical journey is fellow winner American student Summer Reid with his enchanting composition, Little Brooks. The tracks draws inspiration from the warmth of family reunions, adding another dimension of emotion to this celestial symphony.
