Adele Confirms She Is Engaged With An Epic Pear Shape Diamond Ring

The singer revealed at her show in Munich on Friday that she is set to marry partner Rich Paul

After much speculation, Adele has confirmed her engagement to her boyfriend of three years Rich Paul, holding her hand up to show off a striking pear shape diamond ring at her concert in Munich on August 9.

In a video from the show, Adele rebuffed a joking proposal from a fan in the crowd, before revealing that she’s already engaged. “I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married,” she told the concert-goers, lifting her hand to display the large diamond on her ring finger, which was met by much applause.

Adele appears to have worn this ring before to the 2022 BRIT Awards, which at the time sparked rumours of her engagement to the American sports agent, but in an interview with ELLE months later the singer denied the speculation, saying “I’m not engaged. I love high-end jewelry, boy!” Her penchant for diamonds probably has made it harder for fans to guess at her marital status, as the singer regularly appears with sensational jewels upon her left hand ring finger.

Adele is far from the only celebrity to opt for a pear shape engagement ring in recent years, with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly famously revealing a Stephen Webster emerald and diamond engagement ring in January 2022, with each pear shape stone representing the couple’s respective birthstones.

Emily Ratajowski also recently made headlines with a pear shape diamond when she unveiled her Alison Lou ‘divorce rings’ in March, having remodelled the ‘toi et moi’ engagement ring given to her by Sebastian Bear-McClard.

Famously chosen for their sleek contours and elongated silhouette, pear shape diamonds offer large coverage of the finger for their carat weight – making them appear even bigger – and have unsurprisingly long-appealed to large jewel-lovers, including Elizabeth Taylor, Cardi B and Victoria Beckham.
