Arab Fashion Week 2022 is upon us, and by the looks of it, we are about to be wowed by the divine sartorial spectacle that promises to be in store for us. From March 24 – 28, the GCC’s fashion cognoscente will ascend on Dubai to watch both leading and breakthrough designers from across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and America present their AW22 collections.
Organised by the Arab Fashion Council (AFC) in collaboration with Dubai Design District (d3), the 5 day event will be held in d3 in the evenings from 18:00 – 22:00.
In an effort to usher in a new era of fashion show presentation, AFC has partnered with Meta, to broadcast the collections in real time on Facebook and Instagram. Screenings of the shows will also be displayed on the big screens at the venue.
Expect a full calendar complete with over 25 shows featuring a roster of international designers from across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and America. In addition to the shows, an array of retail events and entertainment will take place in parallel.
Dubai has become a cradle of creativity over the years, making it somewhat of a fashion magnet. It is therefore no surprise that the calendar is stacked with major players of the luxury fashion scene, from couture designers such as Maram Borhan of Egypt, Ihabi Jiryis (of Palestine), and Dorota Goldpoint (of Poland) and ready-to-wear brands including Bougessa (of the UAE), Aboud Jammal (of Lebanon), and Sara Al Twain (of Saudi Arabia).
