Beauty Diaries: Lidija Abu Ghazaleh On Hair Hacks, Favourite Fragrances And The Dhs25 Mascara She Swears By

Favourite makeup brand: "I love Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury. Both have everything I need from foundation to great colour palettes."

Foundation and concealer: "I’m currently alternating between Mac’s Mineralize moisture foundation and Bobbi Brown’s Liquid Foundation."

Go-to lip colour: For day: Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Luscious Lip Slick. For night: MAC Viva Glam Sia Matte.

Mascara: "Maybelline Great Lash is still my favourite mascara. I know there isn’t anything glamorous about it, but I’ve used it since I was a model back in the day and, at the time, it was the makeup artists’ choice of mascara."

Current perfume: "The Harmonist – it’s a new scent for me and I’m obsessed!"

Make-up hack: "Make-up artist Maria Doyle taught me how to prep pre-makeup skin and massage my face while moisturizing. It takes about five minutes and stimulates blood flow. The glow it gives my skin is amazing and my makeup goes on easily while looking very fresh and clean."

Hairstylist: "Emma, from Pastels at Mercato Mall. She’s a sweetheart and always knows exactly what I want."

Hair schedule: "Root colour every six weeks. Highlights every three months."

Style secret: "I sleep with a hairclip to keep my waves intact the day after a blow dry. Not very romantic, but it works!"

Treatments: "Olaplex for my over-processed hair."

Olaplex Hair Perfector, Dhs110,

Favourite products: "Kérastase Oleo-Relax, and L'Oréal Elvive Serum."

Off-duty hair look: "Beachy waves."

Bad hair day: "I leave conditioner in my wet hair and wear it in a low braid. It’s the only time you’ll see me wearing my hair back unless I’m at the gym."

Skincare routine: "I rinse my face with water in the morning before applying my sunscreen. I find using cleanser in the morning dries out my skin so I avoid it. At night, it’s makeup remover followed by serum then moisturizer. I exfoliate my face and body at least once a week."

Go-to product for skin emergencies: "Kiehl’s Vitamin C serum."

Kiehl’s Vitamin C serum, Dhs342, Kiehl'

Moisturiser: "I love Shani, an amazing skincare line from Italy. I use both their day and night creams."

Cleansers: "Keihl’s gentle cleanser for sensitive skin."

Flight essentials: "Makeup Wipes, Evian water mist."

Miracle product: "Kiehl’s Midnight oil. It’s my favourite serum and I buy it in bulk so I never run out."

Manicure: "Polished Salon and Beauty. In the summer I use Essie's Sugar Daddy and in the winter, Bubble’s Only."

Suncream: "Vichy Ideal Soleil 50."

Attitude to injectables: "I haven’t ever had any, but I would never say never."

Cosmetic dermatologist: "No one at the moment, but something tells me that Dr. Vali (LMS) is in my near future."

Go-to snack: "Fat chunks of parmesan cheese and dates stuffed with almonds or pistachios."

Workout method: "I run and strength-train on alternate days five times a week. I’ve recently added RPM to my routine, which I love. George’s class at Fitness First in DIFC kills me every time!"

Guilty food pleasures: "Dark Chocolate and Pizza with truffle."

Tea or coffee: "Coffee, definitely."

Breakfast: "Greek yoghurt, honey and berries."

Food dislikes: "I love food. There’s not much I dislike - the only things that come to mind are raw celery and kidney or liver. You could never accuse me of being a picky eater!"
