Learn How To Do A Smokey Eye Once And For All At This Dubai Beauty Workshop

There are a few beauty techniques that are fundamental to everyone’s make-up repertoire: a red lip, basic contouring, and the ever-illusive smokey eye. The latter sounds like it would be a no-brainer (a little eyeshadow, a little smudging, the end!), when in reality the classic evening look is an art form.
French-born, Dubai-based makeup artist Laure Sejean has got the day-to-night look down to a science and thankfully for us, she’s hosting a beauty workshop in Dubai this weekend to give us a definitive guide on achieving the perfect smokey eye.
Taking place on Saturday, 2 February, from 10am to 3pm at the W Hotel The Palm, Sejean will cover everything from skincare prep to dramatic lashes, teaching us the very practical skill of taking our daytime beauty into the night. Guests will leave with a goodie bag full of some of her all-time fav products (plus food and beverages throughout!).
What we’re most excited about is her unique methodology, which is a highly interactive makeup experience. Unlike your usual tutorial workshops you won’t just be sitting there jotting down notes, instead you’ll actually be applying the make-up on yourself with her guidance. “During the make-up class you will get a lot of practice and fun creating on yourself a day makeup look and turning it into a smokey eye look for your night out!” she wrote on Instagram.
Starting off with skincare from Caudalie, make-up from Nude Stix and falsies from Kemet Lash, you’ll see firsthand how a beauty expert creates a glam look that you can break out anytime you have cause to celebrate.
