Selena Gomez Wore A Bob Two Ways At The AMAs
One straight and swishy, one with tousled waves
Selena Gomez debuted yet another new hairstyle at the American Music Awards last night, wearing her formerly long locks in a chic, swishy bob.
For the red carpet arrival, her bob was styled straight in a centre parting showing some distinctly ‘90s-style chunky highlights which complemented her lime green mini dress.
When it came to her performance of Lose You To Love Me, the star’s hair was styled in the same parting but with tousled textured waves.
Both takes on the trend looked stunning.
Gomez is no stranger to a bob, but lately she’s worn her hair in waist-length waves. Despite the ’90s throwback feel to the cut, it feels very of-the-moment, with the likes of Kaia Gerber, Karlie Kloss and Maisie Williams all having their hair cut into bobs this year.
At last year’s AMAs, Gomez again debuted shorter hair, but also ditched her signature brunette shade for the big night, sporting a blonde style. Predictably, it was short-lived, but succeeded in making a statement.
It goes to show that your hair can be your most powerful accessory. If only we had a glam squad to do all the hard work…
