Valentino Launches A Couture Perfume Collection: Anatomy Of Dreams
Inspired by Rome’s hedonistic history, Valentino introduces a collection of seven perfumes to be worn like couture
Valentino‘s distinctive blend of romantic design and skilful Italian craftsmanship has its own DNA, and whether the maison is working in rich lace, soft leather, or arranging delicate fragrance notes, it delivers that DNA with panache.
Going up against other luxury maison perfumes such as Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels, Valentino has launched its Anatomy of Dreams collection today; a curated edit of 7 unique scents that speak to boundless sensuality.
Inspired by Rome’s hedonistic history, the maison intends them to be worn “like couture” – each fragrance complements the others, so every customer can layer multiple scents to create a tailor-made, signature fragrance.
Crafted in France and Italy, the elegant bottles feature the maison’s signature studs and are fully recyclable; a nod to Valentino’s sustainably-minded Acts of Love initiative.

Sogno in rosso
Much like its bold colour, this scent is one that cannot be forgotten. It combines the essence of berries with a tinge of spice, and a slight musky undertone. Its base note centres on a vanilla and bourbon infusion.
Notte d’oro
This perfume stands for the more woody aspect of the collection. Consisting of fruity notes such as orange, grapefruit, and cherry, the sandalwood base note adds a heady chord. Perfect for those who love oud fragrances, this scent is finished with a sprinkle of gold.
Private talk
A homage to the maison’s Italian heritage, this fragrance has a key note of capuccino, with base notes of sandalwood and white musk, resulting in a sensual, ultra-feminine feel.
L’Innocence de l’air
This scent centres around citrus fruits such as green tangerines, complemented by white musk and delicate florals – its rose note feels fresh for summer.
Club couture
Another citrus-based fragrance, this scent marries oranges, mandarins, figs, and adds a hint of an orange flower. The base note features a mix of musks and oils, including cedarwood.
Punk romantic
Similar to the first scent of the collection, Sogno in rosso, Punk romantic has a wild side. Spice, vanilla and dark berries are suppported by a sandalwood base note, with an olive wood key note.
Behind the seen
The final fragrance of the Anatomy of Dreams collection is an intense, earthy and woody essence. Combining hazelnut with leaf oils, and a cedarwood base note, this is an elegant and verstaile fragrance that can be just as easily worn every day as for after-dark events.
