A Letter From The Editor | Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Bride S/S22
Love is in the air. Nina Catt introduces the latest issue of Bazaar Bride – a beautiful edition full of fanciful fashion, real weddings and dreamy honeymoons
When two people are so deeply in love, you can tell by their eyes when they look at each other. When they’re apart? The eyes give it away when they speak of one another. It’s incredible really, the immense emotion the eyes can reveal.
This is the case for our spring/summer 2022 cover stars, Mona Kattan Elamin and her husband, Hassan Elamin, as I was fortunate to witness for myself at our photoshoot. Having recently tied the knot, the newlyweds are one of those couples that are meant to be together. It was written in the stars. The universe unquestionably had plans for these two – they just didn’t know it.
Building a foundation first as friends, Mona and Hassan’s love and admiration for one another is all-consuming. It’s infectious and quite frankly, it’s heart-wrenchingly adorable.
Love is a theme that weaves its way throughout the pages. Not simply because of the obvious-yet-profoundly romantic stories such as our Real Weddings, where four beautiful brides open their hearts to share their special days with us, but because each and every page is sprinkled with love in one way or another.
Take legendary couturier Zuhair Murad for example. The visionary whose eternal pursuit of statement silhouettes is realised through a profound love for his craft, as highlighted in Man on a Mission. Or Jardel Silva, the event designer on a skyrocketing upward trajectory in the world of hospitality. It’s his inherent devotion for creating exquisite weddings that sets hearts on fire. The powerhouse entrepreneur reveals why a professional event planner is so important, in Planned to Perfection. Love can be expressed in oh-so-many ways. Love really is, all around us.
Enjoy the issue.
