High-Profile Guest List

Just like previous Ambani weddings, the guest list is expected to be extensive with high-profile attendees coming from across the world.

According to a report by The Economic Times, the who’s who of the global business and tech landscape is expected to be in attendance. The list includes Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Blackstone chairman Stephen Schwarzman, Disney CEO Bob Iger, Ivanka Trump, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick, Bank of America chairman Brian Thomas Moynihan, Qatar Premier Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Adnoc CEO Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, EL Rothschild chair Lynn Forester de Rothschild, the king and queen of Bhutan, tech investor Yuri Milner and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, among others.

Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and many more are expected to attend the event as well.

Guests will arrive by chartered flights.

It’s been reported that guests will travel to Jamnagar on chartered flights departing from Mumbai or Delhi. These flights will bring attendees between 8am and 1pm from each city to the venue on March 1.

According to a report by The National, a note in the planner sent out to guests reads: “In order to accommodate everyone’s luggage, we ask you to pack consciously, with one item of hand luggage and one piece of hold luggage per person, or three total suitcases per couple.”

Adding: “If you bring more luggage, we cannot guarantee it will arrive on the same flight as you, but we will do our best to bring it in at the earliest.”

There will be themed nights with a different dress code for each event.

Each event during the three-night celebration in Jamnagar will be themed. The first event is called An Evening in Everland, with the dress code “elegant cocktail.”

There will be two events on Day 2, the first is called “A Walk on the Wildside” with guests being asked to come in outfits with “jungle fever” in mind. Set to be held outdoors in the Ambanis’ animal rescue centre in Jamnagar, guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing for this event.

Attendees will then change into their best South Asian traditional outfits for the “Mela Rouge” night after the safari-themed event. Mela in Hindi means “festival” and the mood for this occasion is “dazzling desi romance”.

The final day is divided into two. The first one, Tusker Trails, requires “casual chic” dressing, as guests will be exploring Jamnagar. At night, the Hashtakshar event is set to take place, which means “signature”, asking guests to wear heritage Indian wear.

Reportedly, hairstylists, sari drapers, and make-up artists will be available on-site.

Celebrations are already in full swing.

The festivities have already begun with the couple’s Lagan Lakhvanu ceremony taking place last week at the family’s farmhouse in Jamnagar. During the traditional Gujarati ceremony, the bride-to-be wore a pastel custom lehenga by Indian designer Anamika Khanna featuring handwoven flowers as a nod to the venue.

The Ambani ladies, Isha Ambani, Radhika’s sister-in-law-to-be, and mother-in-law-to-be, Nita Ambani as well as Shloka Mehta Ambani, who’s married to Akash Ambani, the groom-to-be’s brother, all wore Anamika Khanna too.

When is Anant Ambani’s wedding?

While the wedding is not until July 12 in Mumbai, a three-day pre-wedding celebration will be held in Jamnagar from March 1 to 3.

While details of the actual wedding are unconfirmed, Rihanna is rumoured to be performing at the event, along with Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and top Bollywood stars.

The Ambanis are known for throwing the most opulent parties. In 2018, Isha tied the knot in a 7 billion rupee celebration, which is said to be the most expensive Indian wedding of all time. The wedding included a performance by Beyoncé.
