Galeries Lafayette In Dubai Celebrates Art And Fashion With A New Exhibition

On 9 November coinciding with Dubai Design Week, Galeries Lafayette launched an exhibition to promote art and fashion under the title of Modern Expressions

Entitled Modern Expressions and presented by Dubai’s Galeries Lafayette, a new exhibition on view until 30 November is showcasing the work of seven artists to promote contemporary art and fashion during Dubai Design Week.

Featured artists include Idriss B, Noura Ramahi, influencer and creator Slieman Dayaa, and Manasse. The exhibition also features works by award-winning contemporary artist Kristel Bechara, painter Magda Majczyna and artist, curator and author, Samar Kamel. To celebrate the local art scene, Manasse performed a live activation on one of the windows of Galeries Lafayette on the day of the exhibition launch.

Sculptures, paintings, photography and wearable art are on display and also a selection of RTW from some of their top contemporary brands. Samar Kamel gave a live performance and there was also live DJ, a violinist and a customsation station for accessories.
