Meghan Markle’s Favourite Artists Are Coming To Dubai
The Connor Brothers are setting up shop in AlSerkal Avenue from March 25 to April 4
Artistic duo The Connor Brothers, known individually as James Golding and Mike Snelle, will be exhibiting their unique work in Dubai this month. The British artists paint tongue-in-cheek slogans over Old Hollywood starlets and pop culture images and are bringing their Pulp Fiction series to Dubai’s coolest spot – The Fridge at AlSerkal Avenue.
The Connor Brothers have previously exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and even at Banksy’s Dismaland. However, they are doing something they’ve never done before for their UAE debut; creating conversation-starting work with both Arabic and French slogans, which will be displayed alongside six of their much-loved English pieces.
The exclusive pieces aren’t there just to be photographed, either. Art enthusiasts – like Meghan Markle, who purchased the $9,000 Why Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out for Idris Elba as a wedding gift – will be able to buy commissioned work.
The exhibition will take place at The Fridge, Alserkal Avenue, Dubai from March 25 to April 4.
