BLACKPINK’s Lisa Stuns In Georges Hobeika Gown At Buckingham Palace State Banquet

The K-pop star donned a majestic dress from the Lebanese designer’s RTW Spring 2024 collection

On November 21, King Charles hosted a South Korea-United Kingdom State Banquet at the Buckingham Palace, welcoming influential South Korean figures, including President Yun Suk Yeol. Among the guests were K-pop sensations Blackpink members Jennie, Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo.

Lisa donned a stunning aquamarine gown from Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika’s RTW Spring 2024 collection titled Goddess of Love. The whimsical dress, adorned with intricate silver and blue crystals, is complemented by a matching, flowing cape that exudes regal excellence in an elegant and prestigious fashion. Lisa paired this ensemble with golden heels and a statement diamond necklace from Bulgari.

Launched during Paris Fashion Week, the Goddess of Love collection features over 100 looks that are inspired by the infamous “The Birth of Venus” by Italian master painter Sandro Botticelli and sees delicate and clingy fabric that highlights body silhouettes and portrays sensual forms, mirroring the emergence of Goddess Venus from the sea. With gowns that are majestically bejewelled and intricately embellished, Georges Hobeika’s latest collection is fit for true royalty.

And just like that, Lisa appeared regally attired, with fans affectionately calling her ‘Princess Lisa’ in homage to her exquisite gown, even comparing her to Elsa from the Disney movie Frozen.

The other members too were royally clad, with Jennie donning a beautiful off-the-shoulder white gown, Rosé looking gorgeous in a black strapless evening dress adorned with a sweetheart neckline and Jisoo presenting elegantly in a black crinkled gown with puffed sleeves and a square neck.

To the surprise of fans as well as the members, in his speech King Charles especially thanked the group for their involvement in COP26 where they delivered a powerful speech on the importance of environmental sustainability.

The King is all set deliver a speech at COP28 which will be held in Dubai on December 1st.

Blackpink songs were echoing throughout the area, with the Royal choir performing DDU-DU DDU-DU outside the palace.
