Yesterday marked the grand culmination of the 7th edition of the esteemed Distinctive International Arab Festival Awards (DIAFA), hosted at Dubai Festival City’s Festival Bay.

Each year, DIAFA bestows its edition to honour a trailblazer in the creative realm, and this 7th edition paid tribute to the iconic Arab Cinematic legend, the late Faten Hamama, affectionately known as ‘The Lady of the Arabic Screen.’

With a star-studded evening featuring some of the most prominent regional figures in the industry, the event promised a spectacle of high-fashion moments that would undoubtedly etch themselves into the books of style history.

The event kick-started with a red carpet rendezvous named The Bazaar Spotlight hosted by our Senior Fashion Editor Nour Bou Ezz, who donned a statement Valentino ensemble. Additionally, Bazaar Arabia’s EIC Oliva Phillips presented the prestigious DIAFA award to Arab icon and Egyptian actor Mona Zaki.

Jacqueliene Fernandez

The Bollywood actor looked absolutely gorgeous in this delicate cream A-line dress featuring a sweetheart neckline, intricately sewn with floral lace patterns. The dress shimmered underneath the spotlight, adding a touch of glamour to the overall look.

With sparkly golden heels, an elegant diamond choker and matching stud earrings, Jacqueliene exuded feminine allure making this a timeless and enchanting look.

Salama Mohamed

Looking as luminous as ever, Internet personality Salama stood out in this bright yellow Georges Chakra gown with flowy sleeves and a built-in hood. The ensemble was adorned with a black bow detail on the waist and elegant translucent gloves. Salama completed this look with classic black Christian Louboutin heels and exquisite jewels from MOUAWAD.

Elham Ali

The award-winning Saudi actor looked stunning in a nude Ted Khoury gown that featured a thin layer of fabric intricately stitched with glistening black patterns and geometric details. With long sleeves and a train that elegantly flowed as she walked, Elham appeared as if she had just stepped out of a whimsical fairytale.

Aditi Rao Hydari

Opting for a traditional look with a modern twist, the Bollywood actor looked graceful in a black lehenga skirt with white geometric patterns. With a simple black turtleneck top and bejeweled bracelets, Aditi proved that sometimes less is more when it comes to achieving a timeless elegant look.

Pamela El Kik

Also donning a majestic Ted Khoury ensemble was Lebanese actor Pamela El Kik. The fitted gown presented a beautiful collage of jewels, pearls and sequins, with glamorous sleeve capes drawing us in. With a unique gown inspired by the enchanting aquatic life, Pamela’s ensemble definitely caught our eye.

Mona Zaki

The beloved Egyptian actor looked elegant in a black chiffon dress with delicate translucent sleeves and a low back. Mona Zaki won the DIAFA award presented by Harper’s Bazaar Arabia’s EIC Olivia Phillips.

A sparkling diamond necklace was the perfect addition to this ensemble, adding just the right amount of glam and luxury to elevate this look.

Carole Samaha

Carole exuded sophistication in the meticulously tailored black evening gown from MÔNOT. The off-shoulder design, accentuated by a crisp white band, not only added a touch of contrast but also created a visually striking and elegant effect. With drop crystal earrings and a black clutch, this outfit provided a clean and polished look.

Burak Deniz

The trend of black and white outfits unquestionably stole the spotlight at this season’s event. Turkish actor and model Burak epitomized dashing elegance in his ensemble, pairing a white blazer with tailored black trousers. Completing this look, Burak opted for a black bowtie, adding a refined finishing touch that exuded classic charm and elevated his overall ensemble to a level of timeless sophistication.

Deema Al Asadi

Bringing in a splash of colour to the red carpet, Iraqi influencer Deema served us some serious looks with in this luminous orange peplum top over a fitted long black skirt. A timeless and elegant Bulgari necklace provided class and sophistication. This ensemble was completed with luxurious heels and a clutch from YSL.

Loujain Adada

Dubai Bling’s Loujain Adada, otherwise known as LJ looks absolutely breathtaking in a captivating blue décolleté dress by Georges Hobeika, adorned with a short train. Completing her ensemble, she accessories with a magnificent jewellery set from Mouawad, featuring a stunning ring, a gemstone necklace, and earrings that resemble sapphires.

Farhana Abodi

Influencer Farhana Abodi stole the spotlight at Diafa, donning a bespoke creation by Dodonë Avdiu. The custom ensemble featured elegant shoulder pads and cascading diamond tassels, creating a mesmerising effect as she gracefully walked down the carpet. Farhana exuded a radiant charm in her dazzling attire, perfectly complemented by exquisite jewellery from Lebanese jeweller Nsouli.

Safa Siddiqui

Safa graced the occasion in a stunning metallic silver dress that accentuated her figure, featuring a transparent bodice that elegantly cinched her waist. Her beauty was enhanced with beautifully braided hair, adding a touch of sophistication to her overall look. Completing the ensemble, Siddiqui adorned a dazzling diamond necklace that gleamed alongside her shiny black Gucci shoes, creating a captivating and polished appearance.

Rosemin Madhavji

Rosemin stunned in this Rami Al Ali cream haute couture gown with elegant long sleeves and a V-neck. Adorned with an array of pink and red sequins, Rosemin provided a radiant shine as she walked down the red carpet.
