Ahead of the elaborate weekend, the chosen females from across 130 countries have all headed to gorgeous the Mexico City to compete in the highly anticipated annual beauty pageant. This year, viewers can look forward to more diversity and witness a solid regional representation of individuals across the Middle East.
The beauty queens prepare to showcase their culture and unique characteristics between November 14 – 16, 2024, at Arena CDMX – where the current Miss Universe, Sheynnis Placios of Nicaragua, will hand her crown over to the next successful winner at the finale.

Miss Universe Bahrain, Shereen Ahmed
The Filipino-Bahraini content creator, model and journalist swiftly made her mark in the glamorous world of pageantry from the young age of 15. She has since used her platform to spread positivity and raise awareness for various mental health issues – having struggled with anxiety and hypochondria herself.

“Wearing this crown with pride and purpose, representing the beauty, strength, and resilience of Bahrain. I cannot wait to be on the global stage and make every moment count.” She shared to her Instagram.
Miss Universe Lebanon, Nada Koussa
The Lebanese beauty pageant title holder was crowned Miss Universe Lebanon by Yasmina Zaytoun during a glamorous ceremony. Since obtaining a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology – the 26 year old licensed clinical psychologist has had an impressive 5 years of experience in working across different sectors and specialising in supporting couples and individuals of all ages.

Miss Universe Egypt, Logina Salah
The Egyptian blogger, influencer, model and make-up artist uses her social media platform to motivate and inspire others. As a single mother, the 34 year old pageant queen has chosen to now embrace her vitiligo and shares her successful journey towards skin positivity – alongside challenging idealised standards of beauty in regards to skin conditions.

Miss Universe UAE, Emilia Dobreva
Accomplished fashion model, pageant queen and mother of three Emilia, is set to be the first UAE representative to compete at this years Miss Universe 2024 pageant event. The Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam cover star born in Pristina, Kosovo, has had a successful modelling career thus far. Emilia has travelled to exciting destinations across the globe, where she has walked for phenomenal runway shows from New York Fashion Week to Dubai Fashion Week.

The 73rd edition of the Miss Universe pageant is set to take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024 with the winner being crowned on Saturday, November 16.

Where is Miss Universe 2024 Taking Place?
Miss Universe 2024 will be held in Mexico. This will be the country’s second time hosting the contest after previously hosting it in 2007.
Miss Universe 2024 Has A New Set of Rules
This year’s edition of the pageant will see new rules implemented for contestants. Previously, only women between the ages of 18 – 28 were permitted to enter. However, in September 2023, the Miss Universe Organisation announced they will be removing the upper age limit for contestants, meaning contestants over the age of 28 are now allowed to compete.

In previous years, viewers in the UAE, KSA, and GCC have been able to livestream the pageant on the official Miss Universe YouTube account. It is likely Miss Universe 2024 will also be broadcast on the channel.
