On January 15, 2024 Netflix MENA released the official teaser for AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2, the Arab world’s most highly anticipated Netflix TV series produced by Filmizion Productions, from Showrunner and Creator Tima Shomali, in collaboration with Co-Creators Shirin Kamal and Islam Alshomali.
The new season of the show coincided with the beginning of a new school year, which inevitably entailed the introduction of new characters and cast members. In fact, the entire cast has been reimagined from the ground up, in such a way that not a single star from the original AlRawabi School for Girls Season 1 series has been recast this time around.
Who are the leading ladies of the all-new and reimagined AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2 cast? The teaser introduces us to the actors in succession: Sarah (played by Tara Abboud), Nadeen (played by Tara Atalla), Tasneem (played by Sarah Youseff), Hiba (played by Kira Yaghnam), Shams (played by Thalia Alansari), and Farah (played by Raneem Haitham). Who is Tara Abboud From AlRawabi School For Girls, Season 2?
She’s a successful Palestinian-Jordanian actor.
Born in Amman, Jordan Tara began her acting journey at the tender age of 10 – starring in a great variety of graduation short films created by directors from the prestigious Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts such as Motaz Matar’s Behind the Door, Tima Shomali’s Log In, and Amjad Al-Rasheed’s Princess of the Mountains – among other fantastic film projects.

Most recently and notably, the 23-year-old actor starred alongside prominent Jordanian actor Saba Mubarak in the popular Jordanian TV series Obour (2019). Following her stellar portrayal of her lead role in the series, Tara Abboud was awarded the coveted title of “Arab Star of Tomorrow” – by Screen International Magazine at the Cairo International Film Festival in 2020.
Following her stellar performance in Mohamed Diab’s cinematic masterpiece Amira (2021), the film was awarded the coveted Lanterna Magica an Interfilm Awards at the 78th Venice International Film Festival.

The globally recognised actor has also starred in various Western projects, including the the Disney+ Star Original 2023 series Culprits – alongside a star-studded cast – and European film Rebel – which premiered at the 75th edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and made its Arab world premiere at the second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival.


Tara Plays the Piano
The multi-talented actor recently took to Instagram to share an elegant video in which she can be seen playing Mariage d’amour, a piano piece composed by Richard Clayderman. Perhaps Tara has other musical talents up her sleeve and is planning to release a musical project in the near future.
Tara is A Ballerina
At the age of 4, the prodigious ballerina performed at the National Center for Culture and Arts. It was at this moment that she discovered her love for performing arts.
When is AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2 Coming Out?
At the moment, Netflix has not confirmed the specific date for the second season’s premiere, but we anticipate an announcement very soon.
